09:00 – 10:00 Empowering Women in STEM

Join NWiTA and Assosication of Nordic Engineers for a breakfast session on how to recruit and retain more women in STEM, featuring concrete examples from NITO – Norway’s largest trade union for engineers and technologists, and the Association of Nordic Engineers.
While NITO is making strides in empowering women through the three S’s: Skills, Support, and Solidarity, we acknowledge that women are still underrepresented in STEM fields. This session will highlight our ongoing efforts, share real-life examples, and discuss the challenges we continue to face.
There will be coffee and croissants and plenty of room for questions and discussions, so we can learn from each other and work together towards a more inclusive and diverse STEM workforce.

From chaos to control: The importance of preparing for the unforeseen

Welcome to a morning with Implement and Nordic Women in Tech Awards where we will talk about how companies and organizations can work proactively and risk-based with their crisis and continuity management. Together with external guests, we will dive into the topic and highlight it from different perspectives, and then also do a crisis simulation.

About the event:

In a time of increased uncertainty and unpredictability in society, crisis preparedness and continuity management are more important than ever. For both public operations and private companies, financial institutions, and critical societal functions, it is crucial to be prepared when the next incident occurs.

Organizations face constant threats ranging from natural disasters to cyberattacks. Having robust plans in place helps minimize impact and ensure quick recovery in the event of an incident or attack.

What lessons can we learn from the serious cyber incidents that has had a huge impact on our societies past years? Why is it important to allocate resources to be in control over suppliers and manage third-party risk, and how can robust crisis and continuity processes become a competitive advantage?

During this session we will have a panel conversation with guests followed by an interactive crisis simulation, where both the audience and panel participants will experience when the heat is on, and you need to make quick decisions based on limited information during an ongoing crisis.

The event will be in English.
